ISRO Spy Scandal 1994 :
This is the story of National Security, Spying , Money , greed , Rocket science and Politics and the fake case against the great scientist Nambi Narayanan .
Nambi Narayanan was born on 12 December 1941 in tamil family in 'Nagercoil' in princely state of British rule presently in kanyakumari district . Narayanan started their journey of ISRO after schooling in mechanical engineering as a technical assistant at Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station . He got NASA fellowship and joined in 1969. In 1974 , Societe Europeenne de Propulsion agreed to transfer the 'Vikas ( From the first letters of 'Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai' ) Engine' technology to india . Narayanan was the director of liquid propulsion system of rocket science. He successfully tested the ' Vikas Engine' in 1985.

Why the arrest :
The story begins when a maldivian lady named ' Mariam Rasheeda. ' got arrested by the local police of kerala for the charge of outstaying in Trivandrum . She already explain about the reason for the outstay in india due to the 'bandh' on that day . After the further investigation by police , police found a diary from mariam . There is a name called 'Fauzyian Hassan' , who is one of the maldivian friend of mariam .

Kerala police arrest fauzyian hassan in the link with Mariam Rasheeda . After the interogation and checking phone records of Fauzyian Hassan , police found the contact number of ISRO Scientist S.Sasikumaran . Police link this with the unusual act of security. Fauzyian give explaination of this that , the wife of S. Sasikumaran is a doctor and Fauzyian is taking treatment from her. Police again arrest Dr. Sasikumaran for the charge of National Security and relation with the foreign civilians . Police claim that , it is possibility that sasikumaran shared some confidential information with the Fauzyian Hassan and Mariam Rasheeda. After the 10 days from this arrest , Kerala police arrested Nambi Narayanan . As Sasikumaran is one of the collegues of Narayanan in liquid propulsion engine project .

In the police custody of 50 days , Narayanan was brutally beaten until collapsed and admitted to hospital. After 50 days of arrest they got bail.
What is liquid propulsion engine system :
Liquid propulsion system is the most important system used for launching PSLV and GSLV rockets for deploying heavy satelites to space . After the hard efforts by narayanan , it is possible for india to launch GSLV rockets .only USA and Russia has this technology that time . USA opposes to russia to transfer this technology to india . It is assume by the conspiracy as CIA the investigative agency in USA tries to stop the research and analysis of liquid propulsion system technology in india . So CIA makes efforts to character asassination of the researchers and scientist related to the technology in india. But the strong proofs are not available regarding this conspiracy . This technology is used in chandrayaan and Mars mission by ISRO india .
The political agenda :
In 1994 , the state government of kerala is under the governance of Chief minister K.Karunakaran . He was the 4th term chief minister of kerala. He belongs to the Indian National Congress party . The IG of kerala Raman Shrivastava , was the closest to chief minister of kerala . A.K.Antony was the member of opposition in kerala.There is another conspiracy theroy of political agenda of Prime Minister P .V . Narsimha Rao . This political conspiracy theory was much discussed since Karunakaran resigned to make way for A.K. Antony as Chief Minister. PV Narasimha Rao forced to Karunakaran to step down as chief minister to make A. K . Antony as the chief minister .

It is assumed that to step down from the chief minister position , opposition party try to pressurise the K. Karunakaran . This ISRO Spy case fulfills the purpose of opposition. So after this issues , karunakran govt fall and A K Antony becomes the chief minister of kerala . IG Raman Shrivastava also resign from the position .
The contradictory police investigation :
During the arrest of Narayanan , police officers only tells explanation about the arrest that , IG Siby Mathew wants to meet Narayanan . After the arrest , next day police officers tells Narayanan that they are arrested under the charge of transfer of Vikas engine technology to the ISI agent in Pakistan through the maldivian agents Mariam Rasheeda and Fauzyian Hassan . They are arrested by IB of kerala .

In the court of district magistrate of kerala , Mathew claim that Near about 50kg of documents and design of vikas engine worth 250 crore rupees was transferred by Narayanan to pakistani ISI agent through the Russian airline . In the prosecution of this statement Narayanan explained that as the Vikas engine is not successfully tested yet and liquid propulsion technology is not successfully tested yet , then there is no chance of transfer of incomplete technology to the other country . Inspite of this court give 10 days remand to kerala police , in which they are brutally assaulted and beaten by the officer's.
The CBI Investigation :
The district court order to handover the case to CBI from IB and police of kerala . CBI investigate the case thoroughly and found a lot of contradiction in the investigation of IB . As ,
1. After checking the house of Narayanan CBI found that , the house is very low budget under the monthly pay of 7300/- rs of Narayanan . So there is no chance to get 250Cr rupees by any agent .
2. Mariam Rasheeda claims that she sell her jwellary to arrange the payment of outstay in india , they varify this. So there is no chance of transfer of technology and get Further benifits from any agency.
3. Fauzyian Hassan claims that the police officer sexually assault her in jail but she refused him . After that she was brutally assaulted by lady officers in the jail . RAW give statement on this issue only saying that " we know nothing more " . CBI found no evidence of espionage. This is totally fake case of framing Narayanan in spy case to stop the work of Vikas engine technology .
This leads to the suspicious act of IB and police of kerala . After the complete report, court order to suspend the 6 police officers with the IG Siby Mathew for framing innocent in the false case of spying .
The Real Justice to Narayanan :
After the complete hearing of High court of kerala , court order to compensate the humiliation of Narayanan by the real accused and the state . So Supreme court order to state of kerala to pay 50 lakh rupees , National Human rights commission orders to pay 10 lakh , and in 2020 the LDG government of pinarai vijayan pay 1.3 crore rupees to Narayanan for his loss of dignity , character and the life . In 2019 , Government of India give padma Award to Nambi Narayanan for the appreciation of great work . Each and every people of india should appreciate the work of Narayanan and their sacrifice for the nation .

This is all about the fake espionage case of a innocent scientists and the destroy of his career. This leads india to step back by 20 years in the field of technology . This is issue of shame that we believe very quickly on the rumours and judge people without knowing the actual facts . this is also the issue of shameful and dirty politics by the people of kerala .
