             Today we are going to discuss about the 10 Mysteries and Amazing Facts of the " Jagannath Temple" situtaed in puri district of Odisha state. 

Jagannath Temple is one of the Char Dham Pilgrimage in india , Significantly place in hearts of Hindu devotees. The temple was built in 12th Century by a king named Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva. It belongs to gang dynasty. Rathyatra is the main reason of its popularity which attracts Lakhs of devotees to visit every year.   

           According to some mythologies , the main deity Lord jagannath is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. At the time, when lord vishnu leave their soul , After incarnation of their body their Heart remain  alive. This heart is taken out by a king and placed in the idol of lord Jagannath temple discreetly . He never allow anyone to see or touch the same. 

            After every 12 year, this idol is changed by the priest of jagannath temple. But amazingly , priest also have no right to see or feel the  thing inside of  idol . It is said that , those who will see that thing , he will dies at the same time. That's why ,  this renovation idol of lord Jagannath is done by wearing hand glows in the hands of priest and the eyes were tied by cloth. In all puri district , the power supply is cut off by government in protection of  full police and reserve force of Odisha state.

       Jagannath Temple is surrounded by many mysteries that defy scientific reasoning. Here we will talk about some facts ,

1.The Structure of Temple

          The temple of structure is such that there will be no shadow on ground in any time. The temple is built in four small temples , in such way that the shadow will remain on surrounded two temples itself. It is mystery that whether it is engineering Skills or the the phenomenon of divine force.

2. No Bird or Airplane fly above the temple

         You will be surprised by knowing the fact that no birds or plane fly above the temple. This is the uniqueness among all temples in india.Even no birds sit or make nest on the temple . This is also the mystery of divine power of lord Jagannath.

3. Flag of Temple floats in opposite direction of wind.

       This is also the very interesting fact of temple. The flag at top of temple flies in opposite direction of the wind . This brings your scientific reasoning in problem , and you just belive that there is some powerful force than science.

4. The Sudarshan chakra 

        The twenty feet height and a tone weighing Sudarshan chakra is fitted at the top of temple. Interesting fact about this chakra is that irrespective of your position at any place in puri city you will feel that this chakra is facing towards you. That's Amazing , isn't it ..?

5. The 1800 year old ritual 

  The temple is as high as 45 floor building. Though , everyday the priests of temple must have to change the flag placed above the temple. It is the ritual of temple since 1800 year.  It is believed that ,  if this ritual is missed in single day , the doors of the temple will be Shut for the next 18 years. Amazing..!!

6. Mystery of simhadwar

          Temple has four doors to entry , in which Simhadwar is the main door to entry. If you enter the door you can clearly hear the  sound of waves. Once you crossed the simhadwar you will not hear any sound though you return back in same direction. In fact , you can't hear any sound untill you are inside the temple.

7. The Prasadam Mystery

           Every day thousands of devotees visit the temple . They take prasad . But quantity of prasad cooked in temple remain same throughout the year . But not yet the prasaad get wasted or get insufficient for devotees till the temple closed.

8.The sea mystery

             Their is a beautiful sea beach in puri city. The geographical law about the wind is that in day time , the wind from sea comes to the land while in evening wind from land blows toward sea. But Being special case , there is totally reverse case is their. As well as we step in the Main door of temple we don't hear any sound of sea waves while once you step out to the main door you will hear clear sound of sea waves.

9.The Cooking technique of prasadam

        Clay Pots are used for cooking prasadam of temple. There are 7 pots are used for cooking , they are placed on one another. The woodfire cooks the food in reverse way. As you will think that the pot nearest to the fire will cook first , and  the pot at the top will later. But surprisingly this is exactly reverse here. The pot placed at top cooks first and at bottom at last. 

10. The thing inside idol

         It is said by the top priests of temple who got chance to renew the idol of every 12 year , that the things inside the idol which  they feel is like the small rabbit having live movement. It is believed that this is the Heart of lord vishnu , which is still alive. What a divine power it is..!!
